Here is the moment that Australia’s Next Top Model announced the wrong winner live on national TV.
Kelsey Martinovich had been crowned champion by public vote and was making an acceptance speech when presenter Sarah Murdoch interrupted her.
Shaking her head and listening to her earpiece, Murdoch said: “I’m feeling sick about this. I’m so sorry, this was a complete accident.”
She then announced the real winner was 18-year-old Amanda Ware.

Martinovich was gracious enough to say, “It’s OK, it’s an honest mistake,” I’m not sure if would have been so polite.
Television channel Fox8 has blamed the gaffe on the voting being so close and the lead changing all the time. To apologise they have given Martinovich AUS$25,000 (£15,162) and a trip to the US, which I’m sure may ease the pain little but wont last forever and I’m guessing her victory speech is going to be doing the rounds for quite some time.
Actual winner Ware received an eight-page spread in women’s magazine Harpers Bazaar, a deal with Priscilla’s modelling agency, an AUS$25,000 Levi’s campaign, AUS$20,000 (£12,130) in cash, a new car and a trip to New York.
