  2. Lucy Clements says:

An intriguing and eventful morning. Filled with positivity even though people are voicing their body issues. A refreshing creative workshop. This is a project that has a lot of support and what seems to be very lovely people involved. x

  3. Sian Doughty says:

This was an interesting, informative and enjoyable session. All the participants were pleasant and friendly and the discussions were worthwhile. I wish you all the best of luck with this project.

  4. Manpreet Bachu says:

Today was an experience where I looked deeper into myself and revealed what kind of person I think I am. I found out today that I am happy with who I am but of course I would love to improve on certain aspects, but then again, doesnt everybody. Everybody here was very nice and I felt comfortable with the people around me. 😀

  5. kathryn says:

What an interesting morning – turns out I have an issue with glossy hair adverts! I’d never realised.

  6. sophie says:

I love the idea, very interesting concept.
    Its been fun

  7. I enjoyed the different ideas! It was different from what I thought it was & would be! This helped me a lot & made me think a little bit harder!

  8. Hi there
As a plus size model coming here today, I have to say we need more of these kind of things untill people have acceptance. The more we see different body images that is not the normal size 0_12 the better things will change.
    great guys

  9. laura scott says:

  10. natasha roffe says:

a day of inspiration creativity and swagger … there was great energy from the young photographers it felt really soulful and hopeful that we a re all trying to challenge the conventional ideas of what it i s to beautiful … everyone i mnet had balls energy attitude. it felt there was a space for evrerone regardless of size shape an d colour ; what an honour and joy to be connected and involved thankyou let the body revolution start here we are a ll beautiful!

  11. janeeka patel says:

I really enjoyed my day at today’s photography shoot because I learnt that not everyone is happy with their body. I think its important especially for younger people that they shouldn’t be upset and not confident because they should be happy 🙂 🙂 it was a really good dayy, thankyou 🙂

  12. Simran Parkash says:

Today was very fun and enjoyable. I learnt and understood that not everyone is perfect and has a perfect body and that we should all be happy with our individual bodies:) I enjoyed doing a photoshoot of myself and cutting out pictures from the magazine showing people that models and celebs are not really like that, it is just to do with airbrushing. thank you 😀 😀

  13. rike urlaub says:

i enjoyed this day very much (: i think this project is a good thing for the people, to see how they really are. great time, and very much fun with my friends 😀 thaaaanks!

  14. Olivia Wood says:

I thought the day was very enjoyable, my favourite part was having my photographs taken.

    Xoxo

  15. neely de jong says:

I had a wonderful day with nice people. I think it’s very important for young people to learn to like their bodies! The models in the magazines aren’t real. I enjoyed the day 🙂

  16. Stuart Dubois says:

Apart from wanting to lose a little weight, have a slightly smaller nose, a little less body fat, a slightly more toned chest and shoulders, perfectly ripped abs …. actually I am I relatively content with my body. I don’t think I am obsessed; and anyway if wanting to lose weight motivates me to eat healthily and be active then this must be positive?

  17. Jessie says:

    Had such a wonderful time.
It was a great experience and I think it’s an important project to be a part of.
Body image is something that seems to rule and control the way humanity perceives itself in an age of ever-advancing technology and round-the-clock bombardment of advertisement.
I also think it’s a great project because it focuses on young people’s body images which needs to be addressed if we are to make any progress and come to terms with our imperfect perfection.

  18. Julie says:

I think that this is a great idea and I’m especially impressed that so many young people are taking part and actually running the event itself. I am a Psychologist and I work with so many patients who suffer from poor body image or other more serious body issues. I think that promoting a positive message to young people, male and female, about accepting their bodies (and also taking care of themselves) is vital. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!

  19. caro hamilton says:

an interesting art venture. good to support the talent of tomorrow.

  20. Sarah A. Chase says:

The most interesting part was watching the reactions of the other participants, especially as they browsed through the magazines and selected photos that they felt best represented their bodies – the way their own eyes scanned the images, raised eyebrows, giggles and the comments as they realized how entrenched their own perceptipons of beauty had already become. Everyone seemed to become a bit more comfortable with themselves in the context of the discussions. The most difficult part was trying to describe what I liked and disliked about my body. The dislikes were easy and superficial. But, what I liked about my body tended to be more undescribable … it’s strength, endurance and it’s ability to sustain my existence.

  21. Alice Mannion says:

More thinking involved than I initially thought. Friendly people and an interesting idea. Not sure I feel more beautiful though….

  22. Bea Smith says:

It made me feel fantastic! And I was so excited, any nerves I had initially disappeared really quickly. Amazing idea, really good, whoever came up with it. Would like to do something similar again 🙂

  23. Kerry O'Brien says:

I finally feel positive about my body and really do believe that beauty comes from within. I never thought I would feel comfortable infront of a camera, but I do, and it feels really good. Everyone was really friendly, and I was made to feel very welcome. It was lovely to see and hear everyone being so positive about their body image. I really hope to get involved with Body Gossip in the future and I think it’s very positive to promote healthy body image – I had a very lovely afternoon, thank you 🙂

  24. Maisie King says:

Its been a really good day and its so nice to see everything we’ve planned actually happening!
Nice to see so many people turned up and such a different range of people too,
I cant wait to see the finished pieces 🙂

  25. april says:

A great day, it is interesting to look at yourself in a way that you ususally don’t, and realise that you are beatutiful no matter what shape size colour sexuality you are. Enjoy yourself and NEVER compare who you are to the unrealistic airbrushed images bandied around by the media.

  26. Matthew Nixon says:

It has been interesting to self examine my body perception at this event and also view how other people may perceive me. This is an extremely interesting topic which is scrutinised ever more in modern society.
Today i have been asked twice if i do modelling which is strange but really i should perhaps take it as a compliment!
Thankyou for a very interesting afternoon! x

  27. Kristy Noble says:

I thought this would be an interesting project to take part in and to see why the people photographing were interested in this topic. It is such a massive issue-the real persons body and the percieved image of the ideal body, case in point Elle Macphearson-the body!telling us we should look like that. I feel that the younger you are the more the magazines will affect you-as they did me when I was a teenager. I think body and fashion go hand in hand and you can definitely maximise your body and feel great by using fashion but on the other hand its that world that perpetuates this skinny myth.
Its been interesting to look at my own body as I actually found more stuff I like than dislike, which is positive for me to take away.
Good luck to all with the project and I hope that it will send a positive message out to anyone that is worried about their own body.
